Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) offers excellent education in Software Engineering. A comprehensive curriculum provides students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s rapidly changing technology-driven world. TC3’s Software Engineering program focuses on developing and honing the technical and problem-solving skills necessary to design, implement, and maintain large-scale systems.

Starting with an introduction to the history and concepts of software engineering, student’s will explore the fundamentals of programming, database and web design, and system design and development. They will take courses on software development project management, software quality assurance, software testing and analysis, and software security. Hands-on experience through various lab exercises helps develop the ability to troubleshoot errors and create efficient solutions.

The program culminates with an internship that allows students to apply the knowledge they have acquired in a real-world setting. Graduates of the software engineering program go on to find successful employment in a variety of fields including information technology, healthcare, financial services, and entertainment.
