UMM offers a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, in which students gain knowledge in computer science and mathematics as well as software engineering design, architectures, methods, and tools. Students learn to develop and integrate contemporary software engineering processes, methods, and technologies. The core curriculum focuses on problem solving, design and analysis, software development, software engineering principles, and software process improvement.

The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at UMM offers a breadth of coursework and research opportunities that allow students to specialize in varying areas of software engineering.
